PayPoint

Thumbnail showing stacked screenshots (with drop shadows) of the PayPoint website: the homepage with the services page on underneath.

PayPoint are the UK's largest payment collection network, traditionally collecting cash payments for gas and electricity bills - you often see the PayPoint logo in shops and news agents.

After recently acquiring Metacharge and SECpay, two of the UK's leading independent payment providers, PayPoint have combined their services under the PayPoint.net brand. The result is an impressively broad range of payment solutions to suit all online businesses.

Yellow PayPoint logo, with large blue PP in the centre. The PayPoint.net website was built using the open source MODx CMS, as requested by PayPoint. Using an open source CMS - like MODx - gives them complete freedom for the future; because the CMS is an open platform, they're not tied to any particular developer or contract. By using a CMS, PayPoint can manage & run the site themselves but by using an open source CMS, they are free to source future development work from any MODx developer.

This site was built in collaboration with the excellent Totally Communications. Most of the initial site was developed by Totally - my time was split between completing the coding and providing MODx consulting.
